Soccer Recap: Sand Creek Comes Up Short

Sand Creek lost against Widefield back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Scorpions fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Sand Creek couldn't quite close it out.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Widefield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sand Creek will venture away from home to take on Vista Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Widefield, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Pueblo West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
