Baseball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Comes Up Short

Lloyd Memorial lost against Newport Central Catholic back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Juggernauts came up short against the Thoroughbreds, falling 14-8.

Lloyd Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Drake, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was Drake's first of the season.

Lloyd Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Newport Central Catholic, their record now sits at 23-15.

While Lloyd Memorial had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
