Basketball Recap: Engadine Comes Up Short

Engadine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 84-13 loss at the hands of the St. Ignace Saints. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 618th, while the Saints are ranked 34th).

Engadine's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for St. Ignace, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Engadine has already played their next matchup (against Rudyard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Ignace will venture away from home to challenge Manistique at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Manistique: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while St. Ignace has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
