Basketball Recap: Lauren Swilley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Circle over Mulvane

Circle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 61-41 to the Mulvane Wildcats. The Thunderbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 42-35.

Circle lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lauren Swilley, who posted nine points and seven boards. Katelyn Vogts was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points.

Circle's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Mulvane, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Circle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mulvane, they will face off against Hugoton on Wednesday. Mulvane is facing Hugoton at the right time seeing as Hugoton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
