Baseball Recap: United South Comes Up Short

United South fell victim to Medina Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of Medina Valley by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Medina Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Tuesday.

United South's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8. As for Medina Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. United South will venture away from home to challenge Eagle Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.7, the Eagles 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Medina Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
