Morgantown is a perfect 10-0 against Buckhannon-Upshur since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Morgantown Mohigans will host the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m.

Morgantown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Parkersburg South, who was ranked 18th at the time (Morgantown was ranked second). Morgantown took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkersburg South on Monday.

Meanwhile, Buckhannon-Upshur didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Parkersburg on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win.

Morgantown better keep an eye on Jerin Westfall. He was instrumental in Buckhannon-Upshur's win, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Westfall has scored at least a third of Buckhannon-Upshur's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Mcdaniels, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Morgantown's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Morgantown took their win against Buckhannon-Upshur in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 63-42. Will Morgantown repeat their success, or does Buckhannon-Upshur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
