Baseball Recap: Heritage Find Success

While Heritage's win against Potomac Falls wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pride had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pride have posted since April 11, 2024.

Davin Crain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Van Tuyle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Van Tuyle has posted since back in May of 2024.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Potomac Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Heritage will take on John Champe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Knights have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Potomac Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
