There's no place like home for Athens, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to the Troy Colts for the full four quarters, racking up a 27-0 victory. The Red Hawks pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Colts had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Athens to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Dunlap, who threw for 174 yards and two TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. The Red Hawks also got a significant boost from Cainan Hanbury, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.

Another reason for the win was Athens' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Enir Fjolla was the leader with 2.5.

Athens' record now sits at 3-5. As for Troy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Athens wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 40-7 win against Fraser on the 24th. As for Troy, they have also already played their next game, a 42-7 loss against North Farmington on the 24th.
