Bath dropped down to 8-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Wapakoneta Redskins, falling 61-34. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Redskins are ranked 19th).

When it comes to explaining why Bath lost, don't look at Mikey Hale. Despite the final result, he rushed for 209 yards and three scores while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards.

As for Wapakoneta, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.4 points on average this season.

Wapakoneta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Moyer out in front who rushed for 132 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. What's more, Moyer racked up 158.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Jarrett Mullen was another key player, gaining 195 total yards.

As of now, neither Bath nor Wapakoneta have any future games scheduled.
