Softball Recap: Deltona Gets the Win

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Deltona prevailed. They came out on top against the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Tessa Guenette spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.

Deltona's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Coming up, Deltona will challenge Geneva at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on University at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
