Recap: Tooele Buffaloes vs. Timpanogos Timberwolves
The Tooele Buffaloes struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the Timpanogos Timberwolves had 1000% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Tooele took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timpanogos. Tooele lost against Timpanogos in their previous head to head back in January of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-66 score last time.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan B rogers, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Talon Shirley, who scored 9 points.
Timpanogos found their leader in underclassman Jaxen Mccuistion, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. The contest was Mccuistion's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Curtis, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds.
Tooele's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Timpanogos, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Tooele will head out on the road to face off against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timpanogos won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
