Recap: Oak Hills Bulldogs vs. Redlands East Valley Wildcats
If the Oak Hills Bulldogs were riding high off their 85-38 takedown of the Serrano Diamondbacks last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Oak Hills took a hard 94-77 fall against Redlands East Valley on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Redlands East Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darrell Green, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Ivens, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Redlands East Valley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hills will challenge Hesperia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hesperia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Oak Hills likes a good challenge. As for Redlands East Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Redlands at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Redlands will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
