Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Trojans vs. Apache Junction Prospectors

The Valley Christian Trojans will face off against the Apache Junction Prospectors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Valley Christian against Seton Catholic as the team secured a 94-32 win. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Apache Junction was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Florence 67-40. While losing is never fun, the Prospectors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Gophers are ranked 61st).

Valley Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.8 points. As for Apache Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-19.
