It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coal City had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed past the Sterling Golden Warriors to the tune of 49-7. The result was nothing new for the Coalers, who have now won eight matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.

Coal City's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Coal City will square off against Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Coalers 12.3, the Dukes & Duchesses 7.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
