The Corinth Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 71-53 win over Clarksdale. That 71-53 margin sets a new team best for Corinth this season.

Corinth found their leader in underclassman Xae Mayes, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The game was Mayes' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Roman Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

The victory got Corinth back to even at 5-5. As for Clarksdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corinth will be home for the holidays to greet West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarksdale will be home for the holidays to greet Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lafayette's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
