Basketball Recap: Amador Gets the Win

Amador won the last time they faced Waterford and things went their way on Monday too. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 67-55.

Waterford lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Izaiah Sanchez, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 13 points in addition to five assists and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Adrian Gutierres was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Amador's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Waterford, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Amador will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foresthill at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Waterford, they have already played their next contest, a 68-32 loss against Bret Harte on the 9th.
