Baseball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Babcock Trailblazers.

Dunbar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adolfo Ortega-Castillo, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Ortega-Castillo also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Babcock, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Dunbar didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against South Fort Myers on the 8th. As for Babcock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Evangelical Christian on the 8th.
