Winter Park had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They never let the Boone Braves get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The Wildcats not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 21st.
Miles Gotlib tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Skyler Jersey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Isaac Incinelli was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Winter Park pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Boone, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.
