Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Immanuel Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Immanuel Christian Warriors on Tuesday. With that win, the Gryphons brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Isaac Norman was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Norman was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Frank, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played. Ethan Tiede was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Trinity Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Immanuel Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will square off against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gryphons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Immanuel Christian, they will welcome Randolph-Macon Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
