Volleyball Recap: Northwest Indians vs. Triway Titans
If Northwest was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Barberton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Triway Titans on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-11.
Ashlyn Lazarus paced Northwest's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lazarus got some help from Elizabeth Kulick and her 13 assists.
Among those leading the charge was Reagan Underwood, who had 16 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Manley, who had five digs and four aces.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Triway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.
Northwest has already played their next matchup (against Manchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Triway, they will face off against Fairless at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
