Winfield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Boyd County Lions.

Winfield's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Boyd County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
