Softball Recap: Toppenish Comes Up Short

Toppenish's last matchup with Wapato could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Toppenish Wildcats came up short against the Wapato Wolves, falling 17-3. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost five in a row.

Paola Ventura made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with four stolen bases. Ventura is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Tayen Grover, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Toppenish fell to 3-1.
