Basketball Game Preview: Christian Fellowship vs. North Missouri HomeSchool Knights

Christian Fellowship will face off against the North Missouri HomeSchool Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Christian Fellowship is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Lutheran on Tuesday. The game was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but Christian Fellowship couldn't quite close it out.

Christian Fellowship might have lost, but man, Ariya Barton was a machine: she went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Barton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed five or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Grathwohl, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Christian Fellowship smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, North Missouri HomeSchool was able to grind out a solid victory over Mid-Missouri HomeSchool on Monday, taking the game 55-46.

Christian Fellowship's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for North Missouri HomeSchool, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
