Softball Recap: Wilmot Takes a Loss

Wilmot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Racine Horlick Rebels.

Ellie Eggert stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Sarah Josko was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Wilmot's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Racine Horlick, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5.

Wilmot didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Clinton on the 10th. As for Racine Horlick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-0 defeat against Greendale on the 10th.
