Baseball Recap: Del Oro Finds Playoff Glory Versus Jesuit

Del Oro had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Jesuit Marauders on Wednesday. Ten seems to be a good number for the Golden Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Masen Belding was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Kevin Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Del Oro lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Del Oro, bringing their record up to 23-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Jesuit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-11.

As of now, neither Del Oro nor the Marauders have any future games scheduled.
