Baseball Recap: Albany Cougars vs. Mt. Eden Monarchs
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Albany). They blew past the Mt. Eden Monarchs 8-2 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.
Albany got a great performance from Max Eddy as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Willem Loveless, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mikey Richards, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
