Baseball Recap: Sand Rock's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Sand Rock hadn't done well against Donoho recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Falcons 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since February 17th.

Ezra Robison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Lathan Amos was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Morgan Tucker, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Sand Rock's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17. As for Donoho, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
