Palo Alto put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wilcox Chargers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Chargers are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palo Alto pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Wilcox, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-2.

Palo Alto has already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against Gunn on the 6th. As for Wilcox, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fremont on the 8th.
