Baseball Recap: Analy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Analy duked it out with Santa Rosa on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Analy got a good showing from Benji Parodi, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Parodi has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Analy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Russel, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Emerson Johnston, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Analy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season. As for Santa Rosa, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.

While Analy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
