Baseball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart

After losing to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart the last time they met, Eden Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Eden Christian Academy blew past the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers 9-2 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Eden Christian Academy has won by exactly seven runs.

Brett Feldman and Jacob Janicki made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Feldman pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Janicki tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Feldman has allowed since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Feldman went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Janicki scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Feldman a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Emswiler, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Eden Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Coming up, Eden Christian Academy will welcome Laurel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will head out to face off against Quaker Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
