Basketball Game Preview: Wilton/Wing Miners vs. Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions

Wilton/Wing has won 11 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock has won 11 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Wilton/Wing Miners will welcome the Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Wilton/Wing's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wilton/Wing beat Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] 69-63.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock). They breezed by Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter to the tune of 76-49 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Wilton/Wing, their win bumped their record up to 16-0.

Wilton/Wing was able to grind out a solid victory over Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 71-62.
