Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Lake vs. Navarro Panthers

Canyon Lake is 1-9 against Navarro since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Canyon Lake will venture away from home to face off against the Navarro Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Canyon Lake came up short against Wimberley on Friday, falling 53-31. While losing is never fun, Canyon Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 731st, while Wimberley is ranked 271st).

Navarro has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The match between them and Davenport didn't end well, with Navarro falling 49-30.

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Canyon Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Canyon Lake lost to Navarro on the road by a decisive 45-26 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Navarro's Tegan Harborth, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and five assists.
