Portsmouth and Pinkerton are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Portsmouth Clippers will square off against the Pinkerton Astros at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Portsmouth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.

Portsmouth took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Concord, posting an 88-42 win. The Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pinkerton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 59-49 to Merrimack.

Pinkerton's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Portsmouth, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Portsmouth might still be hurting after the 96-76 defeat they got from Pinkerton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Portsmouth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
