Softball Game Preview: Celebration Storm vs. Oasis Christian Lions

The Celebration Storm will head out to square off against the Oasis Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Celebration will be strutting in after a win while Oasis Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Celebration is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 26-15 margin over Edgewater on Friday. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Bella Bayona was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bayona was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, Mariah Isabel was a standout: she scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Ariana Rosado was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Oasis Christian came up short against Lakeside Christian, falling 15-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, Oasis Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.

Celebration's record now sits at 4-8. As for Oasis Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
