Basketball Recap: Lincoln Drops Season-High Score on Silas

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They were the clear victor by a 69-46 margin over the Silas Rams on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Abes: when they faced off against the Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 52-35 loss.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carmayla Jackson, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and seven blocks. Jackson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Annique Smith, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

The victory (which was Lincoln's third in a row) raised their record to 8-10. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Silas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-59 win against Central Kitsap on the 31st. As for Silas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-43 victory against Bellarmine Prep on the 31st.
