East Carteret is a perfect 9-0 against Lejeune since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mariners will head out on the road to challenge the Devilpups at 7:00 p.m. East Carteret will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

East Carteret is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Southside 49-13. The game was the first time the Mariners have beaten the Seahawks on their field since September 29, 2016.

Luke McIntosh had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 86 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 103 yards and one TD. He didn't just play on offense: he also made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Carteret was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southside only rushed for five.

East Carteret didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jackson Greene.

Meanwhile, Lejeune was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Northside - Pinetown, falling 48-0.

Lejeune's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East Carteret, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

East Carteret strolled past Lejeune in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 46-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
