Blue Ridge's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Lackawanna Trail Lions get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.

Hailey Carpenetti made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Carpenetti was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mel Bloomer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Blue Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Lackawanna Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will face off against Susquehanna at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lackawanna Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
