Basketball Recap: Lafayette Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lafayette Christian Academy was the 63-40 winner over Rayne when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 58-57 to the Rayne Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Wolves are ranked 350th).

Lafayette Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-14. As for Rayne, the victory snapped their losing streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 3-17 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian Academy will host Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rayne, they will face off against Eunice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
