Volleyball Recap: Talawanda Starts Season with Victory Against Indian Hill

Talawanda had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Indian Hill Braves by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Brave also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Talawanda had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-17, 25-13, 25-17.

Lauren James had a dynamite game, getting 25 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Talawanda was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Hill only served five aces.

Talawanda has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sycamore on the 19th. As for Indian Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Colerain on the 18th.
