Volleyball Game Preview: Salem Blue Devils vs. Souhegan Sabers

The Salem Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Souhegan Sabers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Souhegan took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Salem, who comes in off a win.

Salem is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Stark, who was ranked sixth at the time (Salem was ranked seventh). The Blue Devils walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Generals on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Souhegan's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against Keene, falling 3-0.

Souhegan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Salem, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Salem suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Souhegan when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
