Soccer Game Preview: Oak Hall vs. St. Joseph Academy

Oak Hall is 0-8 against St. Joseph Academy since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The Oak Hall Eagles will face off against the St. Joseph Academy Flashes at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Oak Hall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Redeemer Christian 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

St. Joseph Academy played against Saint Francis Catholic and won via forfeit.

The victory (which was St. Joseph Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 15-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Oak Hall, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Oak Hall suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to St. Joseph Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Can Oak Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
