Basketball Recap: Orrick Takes a Loss

Orrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Lone Jack Mules and fell 65-16. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Mules are ranked 106th).

Orrick's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lone Jack, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.

Coming up, Orrick will face off against Sweet Springs/Malta Bend at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lone Jack, they will challenge Harrisonville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisonville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Lone Jack will come in with six straight wins.
