Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Fresno Warriors

Roosevelt is 9-1 against Fresno since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Roosevelt Rough Riders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fresno Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Roosevelt came up short against McLane and fell 69-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), Roosevelt still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: Cobi Posas scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Posas hasn't dropped below four blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jerimiah Mason, who scored nine points along with seven assists.

Meanwhile, Fresno took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 55-22 win over Madera South. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for Fresno this season.

Roosevelt's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13. As for Fresno, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.

Roosevelt skirted past Fresno 57-55 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Roosevelt have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fresno turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
