Rampart took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Pine Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams won by a set and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won nine games in a row.

Rampart wouldn't go down easily and took Pine Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-14, 19-25, 25-21, 15-4.

Rampart was led to victory by Gabriella Melecio and Ariana Clarose. Melecio had 32 digs and four assists, while Clarose had 15 digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave Clarose a new career-high.

Rampart's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Pine Creek, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.

Rampart has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Vista Ridge on the 23rd. As for Pine Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Pueblo West on the 23rd.
