Football Recap: Our Lady of Lourdes Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Our Lady of Lourdes's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 50-30 margin over the Wallkill Panthers. With the Warriors ahead 28-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jj Detz, who threw for 226 yards and three TDs. Ayden Larue got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

With the victory, Our Lady of Lourdes broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Wallkill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Lourdes will welcome Beacon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wallkill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Presidents' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
