Basketball Game Preview: Bear Creek Grizzlies vs. Evergreen Wolverines

The Bear Creek Grizzlies will take on the Evergreen Wolverines in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bear Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Bear Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Cedar Park Christian 78-41. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Bear Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Beiber led the charge by putting up 25 points. The matchup was Beiber's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Branch was another key player, going 7 for 16 on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, Evergreen lost to Chief Sealth at home by a 74-59 margin on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Evergreen now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bear Creek, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
