The Creekside Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Creekside will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Creekside earned a 7-3 victory over Beachside.
Gavin Duprey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drew Williams, who went 1-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Parker Morton was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 8-5 to Richmond Hill.
St. Johns Country Day also got a good showing from Ethan Bissell, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, Hunter Rodgers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Creekside pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Johns Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Creekside has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Johns Country Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.4 strikeouts.
