It was a good run, but Plainfield East unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield North Tigers. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Kaleigh Cawthon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Plainfield North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Plainfield East will head out on the road to challenge Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Plainfield North, they will be playing at home against Naperville Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
