Soccer Recap: Holy Cross Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Holy Cross, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wolcott Eagles a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Holy Cross considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Holy Cross has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six matchups. As for Wolcott, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-1.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will face off against Woodland Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Wolcott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
