Baseball Recap: Indian Trail Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Indian Trail faced off against Racine Case on Tuesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 16-15 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Jack Zeller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Minatto, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Indian Trail's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Racine Case, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

While Indian Trail had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
